Thank you for your support of the district’s use of blogs to provide information to district stakeholders. Some of our teachers have provided opportunities for students to respond to supervised blogs through our Blended Schools Program . As we progress down the road of blog and wiki use in education, our students will see more and more opportunities to use these and other technologically-enhanced communication methods. The district supports strong communication between coaches and student-athletes and their parents. However, the district is not envisioning the use of blogs to support that communication at this time.

Blogs happen to be one of the topics we are discussing in this week's coursework towards completing my Master's in Classroom Technology. As I was looking around the district’s website, I came across your blog and thought I would take the opportunity to express how wonderful I think it is that our district provides an opportunity such as this for its administration, faculty/staff, student body and community to have a place to discuss issues that will have an impact on the education provided to the students of SCSD. I am eager to share with my instructor and classmates the level of commitment our administration has in keeping all members of our school community informed and involved.
